During the harvest, the farm hands are out working every day – even on Sunday. Marko is a young apprentice working on a large agricultural complex in the Nuthe Urstrom, south of Berlin. If he passes his final examinations he will be a fully-fledged farmer, even though he is not sure that this is what he really wants. He is a lonely boy without many friends and the other apprentices avoid him, seeing him as rather uncommunicative. But when a new apprentice named Jacob joins them, Marko slowly begins to come out of his shell. During an outing to Berlin everything changes between them and their relationship evolves into something deeper and unexpected. Benjamin Cantu, from Hungary, debuted as director with this bucolic, restrained, gentle film about a sentimental education.

German audio with English subtitles.
